About Connie
I'm a writer. A director. A producer. And
talent. I'm Connie Collins, a filmmaker based out of
Akron, Ohio, and my life's passion is storytelling.
I have been an addict of images for 50 years. Stills or motion, on
paper or on stage, images deeply impact me. For the last 23 years,
I have had a camera in hand, looking for the perfect angle, light
and composition to tell a story.
After 16 years as a partner of Media Arts Group, a local
commercial photography studio, I decided to fulfill my dream of
working in film and video production. In 2003, I wrote and directed
my first short film, "A Trampoline," which screened at The
Cleveland International Film Festival and The Istanbul Children's
International Film Festival.
Since "A Trampoline," I have continued to produce short works for
documentaries, commercial and promotional use, education and
artistic experiment. My desire is to make the world a better place,
and I look forward to the many opportunities ahead.
